Mission
We are an emergency food source for low-income families or individuals and an agency partner of the Alameda County Community Food Bank (ACCFB). Along with ACCFB, we believe that food is a basic right and embrace the concept that no one should have to worry where their next meal will come from.
Programs
Thursday Evening Distribution
Federal and county emergency food programs supply two days of food for individuals and families who meet the low income requirements. Recipients can receive food from these sources once a month, but are welcome to come as often as necessary for food from other sources. The distribution takes place every Thursday from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Lottery numbers are handed out approximately 10 minutes before the distribution begins.
Helpline Pantry
We accept referrals from ACCFB and other agencies/organizations on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Food orders are packed with enough food for two days, and are ready to pick up that same afternoon.
Thanksgiving Food Baskets
Volunteers pack and distribute 200 to 220 food baskets each year. Sign-ups for Thanksgiving Baskets take place the last two weeks of October and first week of November.

Did you know?
As of the end of September, we have distributed food to over 6,900 people, or more than 1,750 families. This equates to over 58,000 pounds of food, and we estimate that by the year’s end, we will have helped over 9,200 people, 2,300 families, and distributed in excess of 81,000 pounds of food.
